Villa Mimosa is located only three km away from the much sought-after town of Positano, and other scenic coastal towns not far beyond. The villa, which sits on one of the most famous coastlines that exists, between breathtaking cliffs and unending sea, venturing out in any direction will always be a pleasure. The nearby towns of Sorrento, and panoramic Sant' Agata sui due Golfi are a short drive away. Alternatively, heading out along the coastline, you will be greeted first by Positano and venturing further along, reach the towns of Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello, to name just a few. These destinations are also accessible by public transportation, with a bus stop located near the villa.
The true highlight of this property is the vast open terreace (50 meters squared) that offers sweeping views from every angle, with the Gulf of Salerno, the village of Praiano, and the "Li Galli" islands, sitting amidst the glimmering Mediterranean Sea a short distance from the house. Well furnished and spacious, the terrace is ideal for a sunny morning breakfast, or an "al fresco" dinner, night or day, the view is always stunning. As a backdrop for this idyllic property, are the "Monti Lattari" mountain range, for which the Amalfi Coast is so famously renown.
From the villa, there is a private driveway (250 meters) that leads down to the main road, where the garage is located and parking for one vehicle is available. From the main road, approx 400 meters along, there is the path (approx a 20 minute walk) that leads down to one of the most pristine and untouched beaches of the Amalfi Coast, Tordigliano beach. It is a challenging path, and therefore not suitable to everyone (e.g. small children), yet for those who enjoy outdoor exercise, one will certainly be rewarded upon arrival of this tranquil and unspoilt beach.

TYPOLOGY

With garage parking available at road level, one reaches the villa by foot along a private driveway (300 meters from the garage to the front door). Upon arrival the property owner will meet you at road level and accompany the guests, and luggage, up to the villa by car. As the driveway is fairly steep and narrow, it is advised for the guests to always leave their vehicle in the garage at road level.

With a panoramic ride up to the villa through olive trees and lush vegetation, one reaches the courtyard and entry point to the villa. The villa is part of a four story structure, with it's own private entrance and private terrace. One enters the villa via the terrace, and is immediately surrounded by sweeping views of land, islands, and sea. The terrace is completely furnished with dining table and chairs, BBQ, and lounge chairs.

From the terrace one has a clear view of the striking "Li Galli" islands, where the tale of the Sirens with their enchanting and mesmerizing voices beckoned to Ulysses during his return voyage, as told in "The Odyssey" the epic poem written by the Greek author, Homer. The "Li Galli" islands were owned for many years by the internationally renown Russian ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, who revolutionized the role of the male ballet dancer. These islands, rich in history and natural beauty, sit a short distance away from the villa in all their splendor.

From the terrace, one enters first into the veranda, that leads into the kitchen/living room area. The first bathroom, is located just off the veranda. From the kitchen/living room, one enters into the first of three bedrooms, furnished with twin beds. The second and third bedrooms have double beds, both with private bathrooms and balcony doors leading directly out onto the terrace, offering a breathtaking sea view from first light.

Undoubtedly the highlight of Villa Mimosa is its vast terrace and panoramic views that it has to offer, accompanied only by the gentle sound of waves breaking below, upon the pristine beach of Tordigliano.
